TRAINING

For dogs of all ages

Tailored advice and practical support

for you and your dog

COVID-19 UPDATE:   We have been working with clients online for the past few months and as restrictions ease, we can now meet in person.  Current clients are being contacted by email and new bookings will be added to our waiting list.

When our dog’s behaviour creates issues for us and them, life can become pretty difficult.  There are no quick fixes, however some problems can be relatively easy to resolve.  Others take time, effort and commitment.

You may want to learn training techniques to help you connect with your dog, so you can enjoy walking together - or teach them to come back to you when called.

Or your dog may be showing signs of stress, fear or over-excitement and you want to help them cope better with life.  If this is the case, it’s important to remember that your dog is not a bad dog – they are a great dog, having a bad time!

You can help your dog to settle happily into your home life.  Training together, using effective reward-based methods, is a great way to build a trusting relationship.  Using dominance-based punishment can cause damage to your relationship and create behaviour issues or make them worse.

Our 1-2-1 consultations cover invaluable real-life training, helping you and your dog to understand and communicate with each other.  We’ll work with you to put management in place quickly and then create a training program to help resolve issues.

We start with an online Zoom session (where appropriate) and then meet in person.

There will be plenty of time for you to ask questions and you'll receive a goodie bag, helpful video and handout resources, plus email/telephone support for the duration of your training.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY:

We have had a home visit ... Elaine has helped us with our older rescue dog who has serious spine and neck issues and other trainers have refused to help if he cannot be walked on a collar!  Elaine has and continues to be so helpful with Len.  We have seen massive progress in him and the more we put into practise what Elaine has taught us the better he gets!  Could not recommend Corryisle enough!
