Focus & fun for challenging adolescents,

newly-adopted dogs

and those who missed  foundation training

For dogs from 4 months old

Small, fun classes (around 6 dogs), building on foundation behaviours, or for those who didn't attend puppy classes.

Adolescent dogs can find it difficult to concentrate and sometimes appear to have forgotten everything they learned as a puppy!  They may act more independently at times and then suddenly seem wary of things that used to be ok.  Newly adopted dogs can also find it challenging to settle in their new home.  It's best to remain calm and patient with your dog, guiding them in a fun and positive way, to avoid problem behaviours in the future.  Training together is a great way to build a trusting relationship.

In classes, we focus on strengthening your connection with your dog and teaching good manners, including walking with a loose lead and coming back to you when called.  We also cover mental stimulation & enrichment to alleviate boredom – encouraging calm, happy dogs.

We encourage all members of the family to come along and train together!  You will receive a goodie bag at the first class, advice sheets throughout and your dog gains a Certificate on successful completion of the course.

7 week courses - £70

The first class is for handlers only - exploring how dogs learn and how we can teach them effectively.

For those who have attended our Puppy Classes, this is a 6 week course, costing £60.

Location:  2nd Fife Scout Hall, Berrylaw Place, Dunfermline, KY12 8AL
